A Research Paper to Make
Mention the words term paper to a student and you will surely receive a frown in return. Term Paper, also known as research paper, is usually written by high school or college student at the end of a school semester.
Mainly records of intellectual comprehension of principles, facts and ideas learned in a course or on a particular topic under discussion, term papers can either be argumentative or analytical. In argumentative term papers, the author states his arguments and opinion about the topic. These arguments must be supported by solid facts or evidences. The writer has to make a stand for his beliefs. Analytical term papers, on the other hand, mainly deal with facts instead of opinion. This means that the author must stay neutral and state both sides of the issue. After the researched facts and evidences are stated, the writer will then use his analytical skills to evaluate the information.
Contrary to what many students and people think, writing a term paper can be easy only if the writer or the researcher is genuinely interested in the topic. Thus, it is important that one chooses a topic that he really wants to get to know more about. This way, he will exert more effort in finding the answers to the questions he may have in mind about the topic he must discuss in his term paper.
